The Weight of Air
Air carries more than we notice. Moisture, sound, movement, warmth, and pressure continually shape the world around us, leaving traces of their presence.
The works in this exhibition emerge from one another through a series of responses, carrying some traces forward while transforming others.

Works in the Exhibition
The Weight of Air presents Them that Hold the Weight of Air, a handwoven linen work by Amanda Buckley, alongside a graphite rubbing made through direct contact with the weaving and four musical interpretations by Scott Buckley commissioned for the exhibition and developed from the rubbing as a graphical score. Together, the works trace how traces themselves can be revisited and transformed through many acts of response and interpretation.
